This is part of my series Ordinary Things, exploring the sculptural quality of everyday cups and bowls and plates that sit quietly on our shelves. This painting explores the playful shapes created between the cups and glasses and the unexpected shapes they make, as they sit stacked together. There is also a sense of belonging together and also of playfulness.
